A Meaningful Iftar Gathering at Divan Center
Chaplain leaders from universities, hospitals, prisons, and various institutions across the Raleigh area gathered for the Traditional Chaplaincy Iftar, organized by the dedicated volunteers of Divan Center.
The program began with the Adhan recited by Chaplain Onur. Afterwards, Divan Center Director Vedat Özcan welcomed the guests with opening remarks. During the program, Dr. Alper spoke about the importance of Ramadan and emphasized that true service means serving humanity through embracing diversity.
Later, Chaplain Musa shared reflections on the importance of chaplaincy in supporting communities.
Guests enjoyed delicious food and wonderful baklava while sharing meaningful conversations.
The evening also featured a beautiful musical performance by Leyla, a 10th-grade student and young Divan Center volunteer, who played the violin.
The program concluded with music from the Cardinal Music Group, formed by Divan Center volunteers.
